Convention Worker

Family Game Night has 1 more Convention on our list and this position is a 1 time gig. But if you are interested in our other part time position in the store, this is your BEST opportunity to get that too. You'll literally have a week to prove yourself and how awesome you are to the owners and that goes a long way in helping us hire the Best People! 

Travel to the show will be driving to Boston and back. Leaving on Tuesday, April 16. The convention is from Thursday - Sunday, which includes Setup of the Booth, Selling during open hours, then Tear Down of the booth on the last day. It takes 2 full days of driving to get to Boston and back. 

The convention is Anime Boston. You will be surrounded by tons of anime fans, gamers and general nerd culture all weekend long. Many will also dress up (Cosplay) as their favorite characters. If you've never been to a convention like this, you will be in for quite the experience. Weak of heart/mind should not apply!

Requirements
* Must be able to travel out of state from April 16-23. Headed to Boston!
* Must be able to lift up to 50lbs unassisted and handle moderate physical labor. (Setup/Tear Down takes several hours)
* This is a retail sales position, selling, customer service, cash handling and people skills are required. If you have zero personality, this is NOT the position for you. This convention has 25,000 attendees and you will be surrounded by lots and lots of people all weekend long. 
* Must be able to follow directions, work hard and stay off your phone while working
* Must be able to stand for 10+ hours a day
* This is NOT a Brand Ambassador position. Booth Babes need not apply!
* Convention experience a plus, but not required.

Part Time Sales Associate

Family Game Night is looking for a Part Time Sales Associate for the store. This position requires certain availability during the week with only minor flexibility of these shifts. Eventually could lead to a full time position or management opportunities. We are a small, local business that is growing. We need hard working, great people like yourself to work here and help grow the business. If you want a job that is more then a paycheck, this is the position for you!

Requirements
* This is a Retail Sales Associate position. Must be able to run a register and engage customers.
* Able to follow directions and complete daily task lists.
* Able to stand for hours at a time and work unassisted.
* Able to lift up to 25lbs unassisted.
* Must have a pleasant attitude, good hygiene and customer focused!
* Product Knowledge, able to demo games, explain products and learn new products
* Must be able to work assigned shifts. If you have bad habits of calling in "sick" a lot, or your dog ate your homework type of person, please do not apply.
